Canibad Adventures — We started our journey from my Lola’s house located in Supa, IGACOS at 6 AM. We rode a habal-habal going to Canibad. I wasn’t informed that the road going there would be such a struggle. We stopped twice because the kid with us wasn’t sitting properly and almost fell. The ride felt like a roller coaster since the path had many ups and downs, and the road wasn’t asphalted, which made the trip even more difficult. Maybe it would be less challenging if your mode of transportation was a four-wheel vehicle.
The struggle wasn’t over when we arrived at the beach. We had to walk down a cement path going to the shore. It was quite steep, but there were handrails along the way. Upon reaching our cottage, I observed the surroundings. It was as expected—calm and peaceful since there was no crowd, and the rural ambiance made it even more relaxing. The water at the beach was crystal green. You could even see groups of small fish swimming together in the shallow part.
Aside from swimming, you can rent a small boat there for ₱100 per hour. Our group rented three boats since we were quite a big group. One small boat can accommodate up to six people, while a medium-sized boat can hold up to eight. We paddled to the left side of the beach, which is near the jumping cliff. You need to climb rocky formations to get to the top for an adrenaline-filled jump. I didn’t try it since I’m not a swimmer (poor me!). Instead, I enjoyed appreciating the beautiful rock formations, corals, small fish, and the cool green waters.
Indeed, it was a great experience. I would definitely visit the beach again if given the chance. Undisturbed beaches are truly beautiful. I’m looking for more beaches like Canibad.
