I never expected this to happen.
If someone had told me before that I would fall this deeply for someone I met through simple messages, I probably would have laughed and said, "Not me."
I was afraid of love.
Afraid of opening my heart.
Afraid of getting attached.
Afraid of caring so much that losing it would hurt.
Then there was you.
At first, it was just little messages.
Little updates.
Little check-ins.
Nothing extraordinary.
But somehow, those little things became the biggest part of my day.
One message turned into a conversation.
One conversation turned into hours.
Hours turned into nights.
And before I knew it, I was looking for you in every part of my day.
You became my favorite notification.
My favorite voice.
My favorite person.
You waited for me.
No matter how busy work became, you stayed.
You waited for me to finish.
You gave me your time when you could have been resting.
Your usual sleep became five or six hours because you wanted more time with me.
Sometimes even less.
There were moments when you slept for barely more than two hours because you chose to spend that precious time with me.
I don't know if you realize how much that means to me.
Because every minute you gave me was a piece of your day.
A piece of your energy.
A piece of yourself.
And you gave it willingly.
You are so consistent in loving me.
Even during your trips, you never forgot me.
You still sent updates.
You still made me feel included in your day.
And when I forgot to do the same sometimes, even after our little fights, you still stayed.
You never stopped choosing me.
When I am sad, you stay.
When I am overthinking, you stay.
When my mood swings present, you stay.
You care about the smallest details of my life.
You ask if I am feeling better.
If I have eaten.
If the pain is gone.
If I am finally okay.
And every time you do, I feel loved in a way I never knew I needed.
You have never made me question where I stand in your life.
I know I am important to you.
I know I am a priority.
I know your heart chooses me every day.
And that is one of the most beautiful gifts anyone has ever given me.
We first crossed paths years ago, back in 2013. (not sure hehe)
Who would have thought that after all that time, life would bring us back together in 2024?
Who would have thought that the person I once knew would become the person I love most?
On February 14, 2026, we finally said the words that had already been living inside us.
"I love you."
Since then, every day has made me more certain.
You are the man I prayed for.
The man whose kindness makes me feel safe.
The man whose consistency heals parts of me that were afraid to trust.
The man whose love feels like home.
My biggest wish for next year is to finally meet you.
To hold your hand instead of imagining it.
To hug you instead of sending emojis.
To look into your eyes and thank you for every night you stayed awake with me, every update you sent, every sacrifice you made, and every moment you chose me.
I don't know exactly how God will make it happen.
But I pray He does.
Because if there is one thing I know for sure, it is this:
I did not plan to fall in love with you.
I did not expect you.
I did not see you coming.
But somehow, through late-night conversations, endless updates, patience, consistency, care, and a love that never stopped showing up...
You became my favorite person.
My answered prayer.
My safest place.
My one and only man.
And if God allows it, I hope one day I get to spend the rest of my life loving you the way you have loved me all this time.
